This year’s fifth issue of Shueisha‘s Jump Next magazine is announcing on Tuesday that Tadatoshi Fujimaki will launch a sequel to his Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko’s Basketball) manga in the next issue on December 29. The series will be set after the “moving finale” of the main Kuroko’s Basketball manga. The new manga’s debut will feature a color opening page and art on the magazine’s cover.
The magazine teases, “On September 1, 2014, the curtains closed on their journey [kiseki]. But wait, the miracle [kiseki]is not over yet!” Fujimaki ended the main manga in Shueisha‘sWeekly Shonen Jump magazine on September 1.
The first anime season based on the manga ran from April to September of 2012. The second season premiered last October and ran through March. The third season is scheduled for next year, although the exact month has not been announced.
