Attack on Titan Season 2 Announced For Spring 2017 And New Visual Released

Staff listing for Season 2 of Attack on Titan also revealed which shows that the staff will be returning and Tetsuro Araki will take the role of chief director with Masashi Koizuka stepping up from episode director to director.

In July, 2016, the cast of Attack on Titan/Attack on Titan Junior High reunited for an Attack Festival live-reading event at the Tokyo International Forum. This was the setting for an unveiling of a new Attack on Titan TV anime season 2 visual, with news that the production is scheduled for spring 2017.

Yūki Kaji (Eren), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa),  Marina Inoue (Armin), and director Tetsuro Araki announced that season 2 was planned for 2016 back in November 2014 during the opening of the first compilation movie. But, more recently, Spanish home video and streaming distributor SelectaVisión has indicated that the plans had slipped to 2017.

    I don’t believe this. I think this will be released in late 2017, maybe early 2018. I mean, I expected it to be released in late 2015, and for there to be like other seasons, but nope.
