One Piece Mangaka Eiichiro Oda Says That Story Is About 65% Finished

In an interview published in the second issue of the “Dai One Piece Shimbun”, One Piece mangaka Eiichiro Oda stated that he has finished around 65% of the manga. He adds that he cannot do any more long stories besides One Piece.

Oda previously mentioned in a previous issue of the One Piece Shimbun in 2012 that he had finished around 60% of the story.

Oda launched his One Piece manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1997. Shueisha published the manga’s 82nd volume on July 2. The series spawned a long-running television by Toei Animation in 1999. It will air its 751st episode on Fuji TV later this month. The franchise has also spawned anime films, video games, novels, and other media.
