Shueisha is publishing Bleach’s final chapter in the 38th issue on Monday. The combined 36th-37th issue had teased on August 8 that the 38th issue would have an “important announcement” for Bleach.
The Shonen Jump 36/37 double issue revealed plans for a post-climax chapter of Bleach to include a big announcement in August 22nd’s issue number 38. While fans speculated that this news would be an announcement for the return of the anime, which ended in 2012, an early look at next week’s issue has shown that the announcement proved to be plans for a live-action adaptation of the Tite Kubo manga, scheduled for 2018.
