The film will be adapting Extra Game sequel manga and will open in Japan in spring 2017. Movie is titled “Last Game”.
The official website for Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game (Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game), the anime film adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game sequel manga, opened on Saturday to reveal the film’s teaser visual. The visual features the five members of the Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami wearing Vorpal Swords uniforms. The tagline that accompanies the visual reads, “The formation of the strongest dream team ever!!” The visual can be seen below:
Fuijimaki is credited as chief supervisor on the film, and he is writing an “original episode” for the film. Shunsuke Tada is returning from the three television anime seasons to direct the film at Production I.G. Noboru Takagi is also returning to handle the series composition, Yoko Kikuchi is returning to design the characters, and Yoshihiro Ike is returning from seasons 2 and 3 to compose the music. The cast from the television anime series are also returning to reprise their roles in the film.
The film will open in spring 2017.
